When can I get my home cleaned?

We operate Monday through Saturday 9am to 9pm. Availability of teams may vary by location.

Do I need to be home for my appointment?

That’s up to you-during the booking process you can specify instructions on where you keys are hidden or how the cleaner should enter your home.

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?

No. Our cleaners bring all of their own supplies

Do you use green cleaning supplies?

Yes. All of our products are eco-friendly.

What if I am unhappy with the service I received?

We check-in by phone, text or email immediately after each cleaning. This is a great time to express any concerns or complaints regarding the work that was done, or the staff that performed it. However, feel free to contact us sooner if you have a concern prior to our follow-up. We guarantee our work and aim to correct any issues within 48 hours.

Do you handle Move In and Move Out cleanings?

Our Move In/Out cleaning is designed to prepare an apartment or house for a new tenant; there’s typically more room to be vacuumed, more baseboards to be detail cleaned, more cabinet and drawer space to be cleaned, light fixtures, etc. You can select it on our booking form under ‘extras’. Please keep in mind that cleaning inside the fridge and oven are separate from our regular and move out cleanings.

How long does each cleaning take?

Each home is different, but typically a two-bedroom home takes 2 hours, 3 bedrooms takes 3 hours, etc. For large homes we send a team of 2 or more cleaners so, a 3 hour job would take 1.5 hours with 2 people working simultaneously.

How far in advance do I need to schedule a cleaning?

We require 48 hours advance notice to schedule a basic cleaning. However, we can offer same day rush services, for an additional fee, based on staff availability.

Are your employees pet friendly?

We like dogs, cats, hamsters, pigs, squirrels, monkeys, and other cute cuddly animals. We prefer if you keep your lions, tigers and bears in the land of Oz… yes, we know they’re cute too, but unless they’re stuffed with cotton they distract us quite a bit.

Is your staff trustworthy?

We are a licensed and insured company. All of our maids undergo a full drug and background as well as reference check making sure that only the safest, most trustworthy employees are in your home.

What if I miss my appointment?

There is a $40 fee for any appointments that have not been cancelled 24 hours in advance. Upon your request we do offer reminders via text or email.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, You can purchase a Bucktown Maids gift certificate in $200, $300 and $500 denominations.
